Orientation - Semester 3/2006
          Assumption University arranged the first orientation for semester 3/2006 on 6th January 2007 at Hua Mark Campus with the present of Rev.Bro.Bancha Saenghiran, Dr. Kitti Phothikitti, Dr. Soonthorn Pibulcharoensit and Prof. Dr. Srisakdi Charmonman.

   
  27 th World Universities Debating Championship
          Assumption International Debating Society (AI) of Assumption University attended the 27th World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) from 27 December 2006 to 4 January 2007 in Vancouver, Canada, with the objective to participate in the debate tournament and to present the ratification bid in hosting the 28th World Universities Debating Championship (Assumption Worlds) in 2008. THE LAUNCHING OF THE JOHN PAUL II CENTER FOR CATHOLIC SOCIAL THOUGHT
          Assumption University launched the John Paul II Center for Catholic Social Thought, on January 29th, 2007. This initiative was to honor and commemorate the late Pope John Paul II, particularly for his encyclicals on the doctrines of Catholic Social Thought. The long-term contribution of the Center would lie in research, seminars and eventually, a degree program in Catholic Social Thought.
His Eminence Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino, the Holy See's Prefect for the Commission on Justice and Peace delivered a keynote address at the launching ceremony thus inaugurating the center. Prior to the ceremony, His Eminence Cardinal Michael Michai Kitbunchu, Archbishop of Bangkok blessed the statue of the late Pope John Paul II which had been kindly sponsored in part by His Excellency Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, the Papal Nuncio to the Kingdom of Thailand.
